From Orchard to Glass

locally sourced × FRESH PRESSED

Riveridge Cider Co.

Fresh Pressed, Pure Cider

You can’t get more fresh than when the apples pressed come from an orchard down the road! In an area known as The Ridge, Riveridge Cider is pressed in the heart of 37,000 acres of apples. Not only do we know the grower of the apples in your cider, but we can even track the apples to their block of trees in the orchard.

Riveridge Cider is born of a grower/packer/marketer - so we know apples! By having our own facility, we are able to provide a number of custom options - personalized customer service, private label program and access to marketing assets such as photos and samples. Additionally, we are able to try new things! We use a press made for wine grapes which we think makes for an excellent cider flavor and we create seasonal offerings such as the ever anticipated, pumpkin spice.

Pour yourself a glass!

100% Apple Cider

- Pressed from FRESH apples, grown by farmers we KNOW

- Consistent Flavor - whether you have a glass from a half gallon in September or from a mug in January, you can expect the same taste.

- Controlled Press - we use a press built for grapes and wine making. A controlled press means we control how gentle we press our apples - that way you're not getting flavor from the less desirable skins, seeds and cores.

- Preservative OR Preservative Free - Depending on your retailer set up, we can provide you with a product that doesn't require refrigeration until opened.

- Varietals and Seasonal Flavors are available. Scroll down to see tasty choices from Honeycrisp to Salted Caramel.

is your cider gluten, nut and GMO Free? Do you add sugar?

We do not add sugar to our cider - that sweetness? That’s the apples!

There are no nuts or gluten in our cider facility. For flavored ciders, we do use seasoning mixes from a facility that does utilize gluten and tree nuts but in a separate part of their plant. They have provided us with a verified allergen program to prevent any cross contamination of allergenic materials.

We do not grow or work with growers who grow GMO-modified apples - there’s only one variety that is GMO.

And cider is all apples - although bees 🐝do help out those blossoms🌺 in the spring so the apples 🍎 can set 🥰

Creating a Pollinator Haven

In 2019, we created a native bee and beneficial insect project by

- planting native wildflowers and other attractants for pollinators

- irrigating the native bee project with cider plant grey water

Additionally, as part of our sustainability program, we will continue hauling pulp to feed local cattle, as well as using it (and leaves and stems) for compost in our orchards.

Quality Control and Food Safety

Quality Control & Food Safety is at the forefront of all we do. Without it, we would never get to pressing the fruit!

Riveridge has a dedicated team for both quality control and food safety. QC is checking fruit throughout the growing season right on site of the orchards and working with growers to produce quality fruit. Once fruit is harvested, they’re checking pressure, brix, starches, etc to ensure we have the apples that will make the best tasting apple cider.

Our Food Safety team conducts audits and verifies cleanliness throughout every day - when the plant is running AND when its closed for a deep cleaning. The Food Safety team works with third party auditing companies to ensure compliance.
